DAY 2.- QUITO
Early morning begin the visit though the residencial zone of Quito and the Congreso where we wil be able to find a stone mural detailing the history of Ecuador. Continue the journey to the Colonial site of Quito and visit the most important religious and colonial site of this urban jewel, declared by the UNESCO as a Patrimony of Humankind. Visit the Monastery of San Agustin, its colonial patio and a vast collection of oainting deatiling the life of San Augustin. Visit continues to the Independence Plazxa surrounded by the Cathedral, the Government Palace and the Archbishops. We Hill visit the San Francisco church considered one of the most important religious monuments of the New Wolrd with its goldpanned Altar where the beautiful Virgin of Quito rests. Visit continues 25 Km. nothwest of Quito where the Equator line marks the Middle of the World. Visit the amazing ethnographic museum where we will find simples of all the ethnic groups living in Ecuador.
